Team Development
-
Organizations have become increasingly dependent on teams at all levels.
-
Many types exist: process
teams, natural, self-directed,
cross-functional, ad-hoc, cross-divisional and
executive leadership.
-
Teams function better when they have a clear role, purpose and guidelines/norms for conduct of their effort.
-
Who should be on a team? Composition of natural work teams is usually obvious. For other teams, the answer is not always obvious.
CMA Approach
-
Assess functioning of existing team.
-
Define purpose and current and desired norms.
-
Develop measurement and feedback mechanisms for team and individual members.
-
Improve team communications,
dynamics and relationships.
-
Coach team and/or individual members.
-
Assess candidates for team membership (learn
more about assessments).
