Liam earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (magna cum laude) and a Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology (with distinction) from St. Louis University, where he is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
Liam’s current work focuses on areas such as: development and implementation of a CMA proprietary, online, multi-rater, 360° assessment; selection assessments for multiple police and fire departments; strategic planning; organizational assessments; providing content expertise and research for Ph.D.-level consultants; statistical data analysis; and analysis of job simulation assessments for validity, reliability, and functionality.
Prior to joining CMA, Liam assisted a county government assessment center assessing candidates for various county positions; conducted a validation study of coursework relative to effectiveness in annual exams for a professional college; conducted a meta-analysis of work-related behaviors and attitudes and their effect on individual performance; participated in a video-based ethical decision making experiment.
Liam has performed in-depth research, authored professional papers, and conducted presentations in such areas as: combining learning and performance goals to maximize performance; effectiveness of group goals versus individual goals; how organizational culture affects emotional behavior; business effectiveness of undergraduate psychology course; occupational stress and family conflict; human creativity; the effect of organizational climate and emotional behavior; predicting behavior resulting from cognitive and emotional alignment. He has provided tutoring, general academic assistance, and research assistance to university students studying Teams and Organizations, Undergraduate Research, and Introduction to Psychology.
