LaMarcus earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (summa cum laude) and a Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Saint Louis University, where he is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy.
His consulting work focuses on areas such as: assessments for selection and development, 360° performance appraisals and interviews, organizational assessments, talent management, and strategic planning.
Prior to joining CMA, his professional work included: a company-wide evaluation of a performance management system for a Fortune 100 company through development of an online survey, facilitation of conferenced focus groups, and analysis and presentation of results. For a not-for-profit business unit of this client, he developed and led a customized assessment of customer satisfaction across the U.S. For a large chapter of a major not-for-profit national association, he assisted in the development of a strategic plan that mirrored the national organization’s vision, mission, and goals while targeting specific local needs and issues. For a major segment of the world’s largest food and beverage company, he conducted structured customer satisfaction interviews, collected data, and organized information for analysis. He also served as a human resources (HR) intern for Saint Louis University’s Human Resource Department, gaining knowledge and experience with all HR functions.
LaMarcus is currently Technology Director for the American Evaluation Association—an international professional association devoted to assessing the strengths and weaknesses of programs, policies, personnel, products, and organizations in order to improve effectiveness.
He has authored numerous newsletters, presentations, and peer-reviewed professional articles in such areas as: stress, burnout, work-family interface, organizational identification, organizational commitment, and counterproductive work behaviors.
LaMarcus is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, McNair Scholars Program, Golden Key National Honor Society, The National Scholars Honor Society, and The National Dean’s List. His professional affiliations include the Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology, the Society of Human Resource Management, and the Greater Saint Louis chapter of the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources, where he is currently serving on its Board as Chief Information Officer.
